These artworks delve into the inextricable link between indigenous communities and the natural world. Originating from the Nahuatl word for radio-recorder, Tepozanilli represents a cultural exchange as immigrants returning to Mexico recreated radios in traditional artforms. Radio-Recorders have been made into traditional artforms and produced in Cuentepec, Mor.MX, where Náhuatl is the official language, these pieces symbolize the transmission of information, art, and language.
This artwork symbolizes the technological transmission of information, art, and language as an extension of the natural world.
Originating from the Nahuatl word for radio-recorder, Tepozanilli symbolizes a cultural exchange where returning immigrants in Mexico recreate radios using traditional art forms, akin to an alchemical process.
